The Mogito Open Access Journal of Oncology & Cancer Studies (MJOCS) provides a trusted platform for publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research in all areas of oncology. This guide outlines our submission process, manuscript preparation requirements, and ethical standards for authors.
1. Scope of the Journal
MJOCS welcomes original contributions that advance knowledge in oncology and cancer research, including but not limited to:

2. Types of Accepted Manuscripts
MJOCS publishes a wide range of article types:
- Original Research Articles – Novel clinical or laboratory findings
- Review Articles – Critical summaries of oncology research
- Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses – Evidence-based syntheses
- Case Reports & Case Series – Unique or rare clinical cases
- Technical Notes – Innovations in diagnostics or treatment
- Brief Communications – Short reports on emerging findings
- Editorials & Perspectives – Expert insights (by invitation)
- Letters to the Editor – Constructive commentary or discussion
3. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
A. Formatting Requirements
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12
- Line spacing: 1.5, with numbered pages
- Title page must include: manuscript title, author names & affiliations, corresponding author’s contact details
B. Abstract & Keywords
- Maximum 250 words
- Structured format for research: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
- Provide 4–6 keywords
C. Main Text Structure
- Original Research: IMRAD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion)
- Case Reports: Introduction, Case Description, Discussion
- Other article types: Follow standard conventions
4. References & Citation Style
- Use Vancouver citation style
- Number references in order of appearance
- Include only credible, peer-reviewed sources
5. Figures & Tables
- Submit as separate high-resolution files (≥ 300 dpi)
- Label sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1)
- Include clear titles and legends
- Obtain patient consent for identifiable material
6. Ethical Standards
A. Human & Animal Studies
- Provide ethics committee approval and informed consent documentation
B. Plagiarism & Originality
- Manuscripts must be original, not under review elsewhere
- All submissions undergo plagiarism checks
C. Authorship
- Follow ICMJE authorship criteria
- Authorship changes require written consent from all authors
7. Peer Review Policy
- Double-blind peer review
- Reviewed by at least two independent experts
- Average decision time: 4–6 weeks
- Revisions may be requested before acceptance
8. Open Access Policy
MJOCS is a fully open-access journal. Articles are published under Creative Commons CC BY 4.0, ensuring free and unrestricted access worldwide.

- Waivers/discounts available for authors from low-income regions
