1. Scope of Content
MJASOC publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research advancing surgical science, operative care, and innovation across all surgical specialties. Accepted article types include:
- Original research articles
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Technical notes and surgical innovations
- Clinical trials and operative outcome studies
- Case reports and surgical case series
- Editorials, perspectives, and correspondence
Topics of interest:
- Novel surgical procedures and techniques
- Operative safety, perioperative care, and recovery
- Surgical instrumentation, robotics, and technology
- Emergency, trauma, oncologic, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, and transplant surgery

- Ethics, policy, and patient-centered outcomes
2. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Criteria include:
- Scientific validity and methodological rigor

- Clarity and writing quality
A third reviewer or senior editor may resolve conflicts. Authors are expected to revise manuscripts based on feedback, with final decisions made by the editorial board.
