We value the contributions of our editorial board members. As a token of appreciation, nominated editors enjoy the benefit of publishing their articles on our platform free of charge—while actively shaping the future of clinical research.

1. Scope of Content

MJCM accepts original research articles, review papers, clinical case reports, editorials, commentaries, and correspondence. All submissions must fall within the broad domain of clinical medicine, including but not limited to:

  • Internal medicine and subspecialties
  • Preventive and community medicine
  • Primary care and family medicine
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic innovations
  • Translational and evidence-based clinical research
  • Global health and health systems science

2. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to MJCM undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure unbiased and constructive evaluation. Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts in the field. The editorial team retains the final decision-making authority and ensures timeliness, confidentiality, and fairness throughout the review process.

  • Reviews are guided by scientific merit, methodological soundness, originality, clarity, and relevance to clinical practice.
  • In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer or a senior editor may be consulted.
  • Authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments and revise accordingly.

3. Authorship & Contributions

MJCM follows the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) guidelines on authorship. All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to:

  • The conception or design of the work
  • Acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data
  • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript
  • Final approval of the version to be published

Authors must declare individual contributions and confirm accountability for the content.

4. Ethical Standards

MJCM upholds the highest standards of publication ethics, guided by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles.

  • Human/animal studies must include ethics committee approval and informed consent.
  • Conflicts of interest must be fully disclosed.
  • Plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification will result in rejection or retraction.
  • Duplicate publication is strictly prohibited.

5. Open Access Policy

MJCM is an open access journal, meaning all articles are freely available immediately upon publication. Content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing readers to read, download, copy, distribute, and use content for lawful purposes with proper attribution.

6. Data Transparency & Availability

Authors are encouraged to provide data availability statements and ensure that underlying data supporting their findings is accessible, unless restricted by confidentiality or legal constraints.

7. Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern

MJCM is committed to maintaining the scholarly record and will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary. Any such notices will be clearly labeled and linked to the original publication.

8. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of ownership or commercial influence. Editors and reviewers are selected for their expertise and impartiality. The journal does not accept advertisements that influence editorial content or manuscripts that do not meet scientific rigor, regardless of funding source.

9. Appeals & Complaints

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a detailed response, which will be reviewed by a senior editorial committee. Ethical complaints should be directed to the editor-in-chief and will be investigated in line with COPE procedures.

10. Indexing and Archiving

MJCM is in the process of securing indexing in major databases such as DOAJ, Scopus, and PubMed Central to ensure long-term visibility and preservation of its content.
