This guide outlines the submission process, manuscript preparation, and ethical standards required for publication in MJCRR.

1. Scope of the Journal

MJCRR publishes peer-reviewed articles advancing knowledge in cardiovascular and respiratory medicine. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary clinical, experimental, and translational research in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Cardiovascular Disease Diagnosis and Management

  • Respiratory Medicine and Pulmonology

  • Interventional Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery

  • Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and Hypertension

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Asthma

  • Imaging Techniques in Cardio-Respiratory Disorders

  • Vascular Medicine and Thrombosis

  • Sleep Apnea and Respiratory Physiology

  • Lung Cancer, Interstitial Lung Diseases

  • Preventive Cardiology and Lifestyle Medicine

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

MJCRR accepts the following article types:

  • Original Research Articles – Clinical or experimental studies offering novel insights into cardiovascular or respiratory science

  • Review Articles – Comprehensive overviews of key areas in cardiopulmonary research

  • Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses – Rigorous analyses of existing literature and data

  • Case Reports & Case Series – Uncommon or instructive clinical presentations

  • Technical Notes – Descriptions of procedures, devices, or methods

  • Brief Communications – Short reports of high-impact preliminary data

  • Editorials & Commentaries – Expert insights on emerging topics (by invitation)

  • Letters to the Editor – Scholarly dialogue and responses to published articles

3. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

A. Formatting Requirements

  • Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12

  • Line spacing: 1.5, with page numbers throughout

  • Title page must include:

    • Full manuscript title

    • Full names and institutional affiliations of all authors

    • Name, email, and complete contact details of the corresponding author

B. Abstract and Keywords

  • Required for research and review articles (max. 250 words)

  • For original research, use structured format: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion

  • Provide 4–6 keywords below the abstract

C. Main Text Structure

For Original Research Articles, structure the text as follows:

  • Introduction

  • Methods

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

Other article types may use appropriate formats (e.g., Case Reports: Introduction, Case Description, Discussion).

4. References and Citation Style

  • Use Vancouver style

  • References must be numbered in order of appearance in the text

  • Cite only reliable, peer-reviewed, and published sources

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in formatting

5. Figures and Tables

  • Include figures/tables at the end of the manuscript or as separate high-resolution files

  • Number consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1)

  • Provide descriptive titles and legends

  • Images must be at least 300 dpi

  • Include signed consent for any patient-identifiable content

6. Ethical Considerations

A. Human and Animal Research

  • Provide evidence of Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee approval

  • Confirm that informed consent was obtained from human subjects

  • Follow international guidelines such as the Declaration of Helsinki

B. Plagiarism and Originality

  • All submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere

  • Manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism

  • Authors bear responsibility for content integrity

C. Authorship

  • MJCRR adheres to ICMJE authorship criteria

  • Authorship implies meaningful contribution to study design, execution, or writing

  • Changes to authorship after submission require consent from all listed authors

7. Peer Review Process

  • MJCRR uses a double-blind peer review model

  • Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent experts

  • Editorial decisions are typically made within 4–6 weeks

  • Revisions may be requested based on reviewer feedback

8. Open Access Policy

MJCRR is an open access journal. All published content is freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing reuse and distribution with proper citation.

9. Article Processing Charges (APC)
