The Mogito Open Access Journal of Cardiovascular & Respiratory Research (MJCRR) provides a trusted platform for publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research in cardiovascular and respiratory medicine. This guide outlines the scope of the journal, manuscript types, formatting requirements, peer review process, ethical policies, and submission instructions for prospective authors.


1. Scope of the Journal

MJCRR publishes original and interdisciplinary research that advances knowledge in cardiology, pulmonology, and cardio-respiratory medicine. We welcome contributions across the following areas:

  • Cardiovascular disease diagnosis and management
  • Respiratory medicine and pulmonology
  • Interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery
  • Heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and asthma
  • Imaging techniques in cardio-respiratory disorders
  • Vascular medicine and thrombosis
  • Sleep apnea and respiratory physiology
  • Lung cancer and interstitial lung diseases
  • Preventive cardiology and lifestyle medicine
  • COVID-19 and emerging respiratory infections
  • Pediatric cardiology and pulmonology

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

MJCRR accepts a broad range of scholarly contributions, including:

  • Original Research Articles – Clinical or experimental studies with novel findings
  • Review Articles – In-depth overviews of key cardiopulmonary topics
  • Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses – Evidence-based critical evaluations
  • Case Reports & Case Series – Rare or instructive clinical insights

3. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

A. Formatting Requirements

  • Submit in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12; line spacing: 1.5
  • Include page numbers throughout
  • Title page must contain:
    • Full manuscript title
    • Names and institutional affiliations of all authors
    • Corresponding author details (name, email, contact)

B. Abstract & Keywords

  • Required for research and review articles (max. 250 words)
  • Structured format for original research: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
  • Provide 4–6 relevant keywords

C. Main Text Structure

  • Original Research Articles: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion
  • Case Reports: Introduction, Case Description, Discussion

4. References and Citation Style

  • Follow Vancouver style
  • Number references in order of appearance
  • Include only peer-reviewed, reliable, and published sources
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy

5. Figures and Tables

  • Submit high-resolution figures (minimum 300 dpi)
  • Place figures/tables at the end of the manuscript or as separate files
  • Number consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1) with descriptive titles and legends
  • Signed consent required for identifiable patient data

6. Ethical Considerations

  • Human and Animal Research: IRB or Ethics Committee approval required; informed consent mandatory
  • Plagiarism & Originality: All manuscripts screened for plagiarism; only unpublished, original work accepted
  • Authorship: Adheres to ICMJE criteria; authors must have made significant contributions; authorship changes require consent from all parties

7. Peer Review Process

  • MJCRR follows a double-blind peer review model
  • At least two independent experts review each manuscript
  • Editorial decisions within 4–6 weeks
  • Revisions may be requested before final acceptance

8. Open Access Policy

MJCRR is a fully open access journal. All content is available under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing free use, sharing, and distribution with proper citation.


9. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • APCs may apply to support open access publishing
