Mogito Open Access Journal of Cardiovascular & Respiratory Research (MJCRR)

1. Scope of Content

MJCRR publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed content that advances the scientific and clinical understanding of cardiovascular and respiratory health. The journal accepts:

• Original research articles

• Systematic reviews and meta-analyses

• Clinical case reports and imaging studies

• Translational and basic science research

• Technical reports and diagnostic innovations

• Editorials, commentaries, and expert perspectives

• Letters to the editor and correspondence

MJCRR welcomes submissions addressing:

• Ischemic heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias

• Hypertension and vascular disorders

• Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and interstitial lung diseases

• Pulmonary infections, tuberculosis, and respiratory pandemics

• Cardiopulmonary diagnostics and critical care

• Cardio-oncology, cardiometabolic syndromes, and congenital heart defects

• Pulmonary hypertension and sleep-disordered breathing

• Thoracic imaging, lung function, and ventilatory support

• Cardiovascular and respiratory pharmacology

• Preventive cardiology, rehabilitation, and public heart-lung health

2. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to MJCRR undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and scientific rigor. Each paper is reviewed by at least two independent experts and evaluated based on:

• Validity of methodology and statistical analysis

• Relevance to cardiovascular and respiratory sciences

• Novelty, significance, and contribution to the field

• Quality of writing, structure, and data interpretation

• Adherence to ethical and academic standards

Discrepancies among reviewers may result in additional review or senior editorial input. Authors are expected to revise manuscripts as needed. Final decisions rest with the Editorial Board, following fairness, transparency, and efficiency.

3. Authorship & Contributions

MJCRR adheres to the ICMJE authorship guidelines. Authorship is granted to those who significantly contribute to:

• Research conception and design

• Data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation

• Drafting or revising the manuscript

• Final approval for publication

• Accountability for research integrity

All contributors must be disclosed at the time of submission. Guest, ghost, or honorary authorship is strictly prohibited.

4. Ethical Standards

MJCRR complies with COPE standards. Submissions must include:

• Ethical approval for research involving humans or animals

• Informed consent for identifiable patient data or images

• Full disclosure of financial or non-financial conflicts of interest

• Assurance that the work is original and unpublished

Suspected misconduct, such as plagiarism or falsification, will be investigated thoroughly, with actions ranging from rejection to retraction or institutional notification.

5. Open Access Policy

MJCRR is a fully open access journal. All content is freely accessible under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing sharing, adaptation, and reuse with proper attribution to the original authors.

6. Data Transparency & Availability

Authors are encouraged to include data availability statements and provide access to datasets, software, or protocols where possible. Exceptions will be made for privacy, legal, or ethical concerns.

7. Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern

To maintain scientific integrity, MJCRR will issue:

• Corrections – for factual or typographic errors

• Retractions – for confirmed misconduct or flawed results

• Expressions of Concern – if unresolved post-publication issues arise

All notices will be clearly labeled and directly linked to the original publication.

8. Editorial Independence

MJCRR maintains full editorial independence. Decisions are made without influence from advertisers, sponsors, institutions, or commercial partners. Editors and reviewers are selected for their professional expertise and integrity.

9. Appeals & Complaints

Authors may appeal decisions by submitting a written justification. Appeals are assessed by senior editorial staff or a neutral committee. All ethical or procedural complaints will be managed confidentially and in accordance with COPE protocols.

10. Indexing and Archiving

MJCRR seeks visibility through inclusion in reputable indexing databases, including:

• Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

• Scopus

• PubMed Central (upon eligibility and approval)

Published content is permanently archived and citable to ensure scholarly traceability.
