We are dedicated to publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research that advances the understanding of genetics and genomics across all organisms. To ensure a smooth and transparent submission process, please carefully review the following guidelines before submitting your manuscript.

MJGGR accepts original research articles, reviews, short communications, case studies, methods papers, editorials, and perspectives in the following areas:

  • Genomic medicine and personalized healthcare

  • Molecular and cellular genetics

  • Population and evolutionary genetics

  • Plant and animal genomics

  • Functional and structural genomics

  • Epigenetics and gene regulation

  • Bioinformatics and computational genomics

  • Genome editing (e.g., CRISPR, TALEN, ZFN)

  • Systems biology and omics integration

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via our submission portal or via email:
mjggr@mogitojournals.org

All submissions must include:

  1. Cover Letter

    • Title of the manuscript

    • Brief description of its significance

    • Declaration of originality and ethical compliance

  2. Manuscript File (MS Word or LaTeX)

    • Double-spaced, 12-pt font (preferably Times New Roman)

    • Line-numbered and page-numbered

  3. Figures and Tables

    • High-resolution images (min. 300 dpi) submitted as separate files

    • Legends included at the end of the manuscript

  4. Supplementary Materials (optional)

    • Datasets, code, video abstracts, extended methods

Manuscript Structure

We recommend the following structure for Original Research Articles:

  • Title

  • Author Names and Affiliations

  • Abstract (max. 250 words)

  • Keywords (4–8)

  • Introduction

  • Materials and Methods

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusions

  • Acknowledgments

  • References (Vancouver or APA style accepted)

Ethical Considerations

  • Plagiarism: All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. Plagiarized content will be rejected.

  • Human/Animal Subjects: Studies involving humans or animals must include IRB/IACUC approval.

  • Data Transparency: Authors must provide access to raw data upon request and are encouraged to deposit datasets in public repositories (e.g., GenBank, GEO).

Peer Review Process

MJGGR follows a double-blind peer review process:

  1. Initial editorial screening

  2. Assignment to two or more independent reviewers

  3. Reviewer feedback and editorial decision (accept, minor/major revisions, or reject)

  4. Final decision by the Editor-in-Chief

Typical review time: 2–4 weeks

Article Processing Charges (APC)

As an open access journal, MJGGR applies an APC to cover editorial and publishing costs. Fees are waived or discounted for authors from low-income countries or in cases of financial hardship.

Open Access & Licensing

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, ensuring free and unrestricted access, reuse, and distribution with proper attribution.

Post-Acceptance & Publication

Upon acceptance, your manuscript will undergo:

  • Copyediting

  • Typesetting

  • Author proofing

  • Online publication (within 7–10 days of final proof approval)

Each article is assigned a DOI and indexed in relevant repositories and databases for maximum discoverability.

Author Responsibilities

  • Ensure originality and accuracy of submitted work

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest

  • Acknowledge all sources of funding

  • Confirm all authors have agreed to submission and final content

  • Participate in peer review when requested
