This guide outlines the submission process, manuscript preparation, and ethical standards required for publication in MJNBS.
1. Scope of the Journal
MJNBS publishes peer-reviewed articles that explore cutting-edge developments, clinical insights, and theoretical advancements in all areas of neurology and brain sciences. We welcome submissions in areas including, but not limited to:

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
MJNBS accepts the following types of contributions:
Original Research Articles – New and significant findings in neurology or neuroscience

Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses – Rigorous evidence syntheses on focused neurological topics

3. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
A. Formatting Requirements
Submit in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
Font: Times New Roman, size 12
Line spacing: 1.5, with page numbers throughout
Title Page must include:
Full title of the manuscript
Names and affiliations of all authors
Corresponding author’s full contact details
B. Abstract and Keywords
Required for all research and review submissions (max. 250 words)
Use structured format for original research: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
Include 4–6 keywords beneath the abstract
C. Main Text Structure
For Original Research Articles, the manuscript should follow this structure:
Introduction
Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusion
Other article types (e.g., case reports or reviews) should follow a logical and standard format appropriate to their category.
4. References and Citation Style
Use the Vancouver citation style
References should be numbered in the order they appear in the text
Only cite peer-reviewed or publicly available sources
Ensure accurate and consistent formatting of all references
5. Figures and Tables
Submit high-resolution figures and tables at the end of the manuscript or as separate files
Number figures and tables consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1)
Include concise titles and legends for each
Images must be a minimum of 300 dpi
Consent is required for any patient-identifiable images or content
6. Ethical Considerations
A. Human and Animal Studies
Provide institutional review board (IRB) or ethical approval documentation
Confirm that informed consent was obtained for all human participants
Comply with local, national, and international ethical guidelines
B. Plagiarism and Originality
Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere
All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism
Authors are fully responsible for the originality and integrity of their submissions
C. Authorship
MJNBS adheres to ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) criteria
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions
Changes to authorship post-submission require written approval from all authors
7. Peer Review Process
MJNBS uses a double-blind peer review system
Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts
Editorial decisions are typically made within 4 to 6 weeks
Authors may be asked to revise manuscripts based on peer and editor feedback
