At MJBB, we are committed to publishing original, high-quality research that advances the fields of biotechnology and bioengineering. This guide outlines the essential information and steps authors need to follow when preparing and submitting manuscripts for consideration.

Scope of the Journal

MJBB welcomes submissions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Genetic and metabolic engineering

• Bioprocess optimization and industrial biotechnology

• Synthetic biology and systems biology

• Molecular and cellular bioengineering

• Biomaterials and tissue engineering

• Environmental and agricultural biotechnology

• Computational biology and bioinformatics

• Nanobiotechnology and biosensor development

Manuscript Preparation

General Format

• Manuscripts must be submitted in clear, concise English (US or UK, but consistent throughout).

• Preferred file format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

• All pages should be numbered consecutively.

Structure Guidelines

1. Title Page

   • Title of the article

   • Full names and affiliations of all authors

   • Corresponding author’s email

2. Abstract (200–300 words)

   • Brief summary of the objective, methods, results, and conclusions.

   • Include 3–6 keywords.

3. Main Text

   • Introduction

   • Materials and Methods

   • Results

   • Discussion

   • Conclusion

4. References

   • Follow APA or Vancouver style (please be consistent).

   • Use citation software (e.g., EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley) to format references.

5. Figures and Tables

   • Submit high-resolution images (300 dpi minimum).

   • Each figure/table should be accompanied by a descriptive caption.

Submission Process

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the MJBB submission portal or via email to:
mjbb@mogitojournals.org

All submissions will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the scope, formatting, or scientific standards of the journal.

Peer Review Policy

• Double-blind review by at least two independent experts.

• Feedback is typically provided within 4–6 weeks.

• Revisions must be resubmitted within the stated deadline.

Ethical Standards

MJBB adheres strictly to international standards on publication ethics. Authors must:

• Disclose any conflicts of interest

• Ensure originality and proper citation of all sources

• Follow ethical guidelines for experiments involving humans or animals (IRB/IACUC approvals must be documented)

Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) is strictly prohibited.

Open Access & Licensing

MJBB is an open access journal. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing unrestricted distribution and reuse with proper attribution.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

As part of our open access model, MJBB applies a modest APC to cover editorial and production costs. Fee waivers and discounts are available for authors from low-resource institutions or regions.
