Mogito Open Access Journal of Cardiovascular & Respiratory Research (MJCRR)

At the Mogito Open Access Journal of Cardiovascular & Respiratory Research (MJCRR), we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and academic integrity in cardiovascular and respiratory publishing. This policy outlines the ethical obligations of authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher to ensure the credibility, reliability, and quality of all published research.

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Originality & Plagiarism

All submitted manuscripts must be original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism. MJCRR utilizes plagiarism detection software to assess content authenticity. Plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate submission is strictly prohibited and will result in rejection or retraction.

Authorship Criteria

Authorship is reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions—such as study design, clinical execution, data interpretation, or manuscript preparation. All listed authors must approve the final manuscript prior to submission.

Data Accuracy & Transparency

Authors are expected to provide accurate, complete, and reproducible data. Any fabrication or falsification of results will lead to immediate rejection and possible investigation. Authors may be asked to submit raw data during peer review.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

All authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest. Full transparency is required at the time of manuscript submission.

Ethical Approval & Consent

All research involving human or animal subjects must include approval from an institutional ethics committee or review board. Informed consent must be obtained from all participants, particularly those undergoing cardiovascular or respiratory procedures.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made based solely on scientific merit, relevance, and originality. MJCRR editors operate independently, free from commercial or institutional influence.

Fair & Timely Peer Review

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Editors ensure fair, timely, and respectful evaluations, regardless of authors' nationality, gender, or institutional affiliation.

Confidentiality

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and may not disclose content or use data prior to publication without consent.

Managing Conflicts

Editors must declare conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from decisions where objectivity is compromised. A neutral editor will be assigned in such cases.

3. Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

Objective Review

Reviewers must provide objective, well-reasoned, and constructive evaluations based on scientific merit and clinical impact. Personal criticism or biased comments are not acceptable.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts under review are confidential documents. Reviewers are prohibited from sharing or using unpublished material for personal or professional gain.

Disclosure of Conflicts

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review submissions where impartiality cannot be guaranteed.

4. Publisher Responsibilities

MJCRR is published by Mogito Open Access Journals, which adheres to the ethical principles and guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The publisher is committed to:

  • Upholding editorial independence

  • Supporting equitable access to cardiovascular and respiratory research

  • Maintaining transparency and data integrity

  • Investigating and preventing publication misconduct

5. Handling Research Misconduct

MJCRR investigates all claims of unethical behavior, including:

  • Plagiarism

  • Data falsification or manipulation

  • Unethical research involving human or animal subjects

  • Authorship disputes

If a concern arises, MJCRR will conduct a confidential investigation, request supporting evidence, and, if necessary, contact the relevant institutions. Confirmed misconduct will result in appropriate actions such as rejection, retraction, or formal notice.

6. Retraction & Correction Policy

To preserve the accuracy and trustworthiness of published literature, MJCRR implements the following corrections:

  • Erratum – Minor errors not affecting conclusions

  • Corrigendum – Author-submitted corrections

  • Retraction – Serious ethical breaches or data flaws

All corrections are clearly identified and linked to the original article to ensure transparency.

Commitment to Integrity

At MJCRR, ethical publishing is foundational to advancing cardiovascular and respiratory medicine. We encourage all authors, reviewers, editors, and readers to adhere to these principles in every submission, review, and publication decision.
